Complete the 30-hour SCREC-approved Property Management course covering the fundamentals and principles of property management. If you plan to pursue a Property Manager-in-Charge license, you can also complete the additional 7-hour PMIC course.
Apply for Exam Eligibility
Submit Your Application to SCREC
After completing the required property management education, apply to the South Carolina Real Estate Commission for approval to take the licensing exam. Once your application is approved, SCREC will send your examination eligibility information so you can register with PSI.
Submit the required application, identification, education documentation, and other supporting materials to establish your eligibility for the South Carolina property manager licensing exam.
Complete Your Background Check
Required Screening
South Carolina property manager applicants must complete state and federal fingerprint-based criminal background checks and a Social Security number-based background check as part of the licensing process. Follow the instructions provided by SCREC after submitting your application.
